Great Day For A Ferry Ride

Last weekend we headed West - to Kingston.
It was a chance to visit with my SIL who was in town
and to celebrate the birthday of my FIL.

We loaded up the car with the in-laws and a very excited Weezer.

(I don't think we realized just how long that tongue actually was!)

Had to sit through 2 ferry lines cos we just missed both boats.
But, if you're gonna have to wait in line, you may as well have this view:

Once we got to our destination,
we thought a little hike through the woods would be
fun before dinner.

Weezer thought it was a blast, but of course hers
had to be at the head of the pack!

We saw lots of fairy circles along the trail...

The variety of mushrooms was just amazing! Really beautiful.

Then a certain four-legged friend got REALLY tired
from running uphill to keep at the head of the pack,
so we had to stop to take a long breather.

But again, if you're gonna stop to take in the scenery,
this may as well be your view:

Once we got back to the casa and got Weezer a
gallon of water to drink, it was time to celebrate with this
vegan chocolate and raspberry cake, baked by my MIL.

And then it was time to open gifts.
The best gift being 104 minis to celebrate his 52nd!

It was a fun time had by all
and everyone was excited to love on Miss Weezer!

  3. Fun I love ferry rides! Especially in that weather. Just realized I called Weezer a "he" up above. My apologies.
